About Us:

GET THE MESSAGE Publicity was founded in 2005 in Toronto, Canada.

GET THE MESSAGE Publicity (GTMP) has been involved in the Canadian music industry for 13 years. Prior to founding the publicity company, GTMP attended Harris Institute for the Arts in Toronto, where she earned graduate status in the Recording Arts Management program (1998). She then was the president of her own management company for musical artists (managing two independent bands; Speed Orchid and Electrashine), then she had an internship and worked at Attic Records (Attic Music Group) in marketing and publicity, while working for two years as an extra/background actress in feature film and television productions.

Subsequently, GTMP happily worked for five years as an entertainment/music publicist along side the unstoppable veteran music publicist Richard Flohil at Richard Flohil & Associates PR agency in Toronto (which included, but was definitely not limited to national tour publicity, CD release and event PR, music festival PR, media relations, concert promotion and assistant editing of Applaud! Magazine).

Then, GTMP struck out independently and started GET THE MESSAGE Publicity.

Significantly, GTMP also holds a Certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University in Toronto (2010).
